Released in 2011, Dan’s debut album A Thousand Days Beneath The Sun consists of thirteen self-penned tracks which predominantly reflect the rapturous, romantic and remorseful emotions experienced while residing in England for 15 months during 2008-2009 – over 16,000 kilometres away from home in Australia.
“It tells the story of breaking free. Of following your heart. Of pursuing that one dream you feel is ever so close to your grasp. Then the dream shatters into a million pieces. You contemplate what could have been and you succumb to harsh reality. And just as you call defeat, you finally find once more what you set out for in the beginning.”

Not long after the sessions for his debut album, A Thousand Days Beneath The Sun, Dan wrote and recorded the single Lady Gowrie Lookout as a tribute to the mysterious James and Georgie, who blatantly inscribed their love for all to see at the base of this panorama in the Sydney suburb of Kirribilli.
